Meine Meinung:
Ich habe für mich noch eine wundervolle Autorin entdeckt.
Zuerst war ich etwas skeptisch - noch eine Reihe mit Spionen
Der Plot ist ja "alter Kaffee", mal sehen wie es wird. Aber die Autorin hat es sehr gut geschafft den Plot nicht ganz in den Vordergrund zu bringen, die Spionage-Geschichte bring etwas Spannung in den Roman, die bis zum Schluss anhält. Ein wenig erinnert mich der Aufbau des Romans an die älteren Romane von Catherine Coulter oder Johanna Lindsey. Die Helden fallen nicht sofort übereinander her, man spührt immer das Knistern und die Spannung zwischen den beiden. Die Protas sind sehr sympathisch, ich mochte beide sofort. Und die Dialoge sind spritzig, humorvoll, es ist ein Genuss den Roman zu lesen.
Lucinda ist eine intelligente, selbstbewusste Frau, die mit ihrem Leben so zufrieden ist, wie es ist. Sie hat bis dato jeden Bewerber um ihre Hand abgewiesen und möchte keinen Mann haben.
William hat seine eigenen Gründe, um unverheiratet zu bleiben und möchte auch keine Braut umwerben, aber er muss seine Pflicht den Geheimbund gegenüber erfüllen.
Für mich auf jeden Fall eine tolle Entdeckung, den zweiten Roman habe ich auch schon angefangen und finde den noch besser.
